Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami

Just finished our second stay here, and we loved it! Keith at the front desk is great and was extremely hospitable during our stay. His help made our trip so much better. We also loved that beach chairs and towels are included, and spent most of our time on the beach. Our room was quiet, and the bed was comfy. Ming at the valet was also super helpful and welcoming as well. Can’t wait to come back again!

I liked this hotel as it is centered between Collins and Washington streets where most of the happenings are going and very close to the beach. The staff was pleasant and courteous and made you feel safe and welcomed. It was not a far walk from most of the restaurants and nestled on a side street where you don't get all of the walking traffic from the busy streets it sits between. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will meet your needs. I gave 3 stars on the service because they have a restaurant on the 3rd floor where the hotel lobby is located, and the staff is doing their best but needs more help for better service. The food was good, it just will take a while before you get what you ordered and to get served because it can get busy and there was only one person trying to take your order, make the drinks and bring your food to the table.

My husband and I decided to spend NYE at this hotel and our experience wasn't great. There was only one working elevator and a lot of people had to wait 5+ minutes to get out of the hotel or to get back in. Our room was dirty - hairs, broken shower, mold in the shower. I'd also like to know ahead of time that there was no heat in the hotel and I wouldn't have picked this place knowing that turning on heat is not an option. This is definitely not a place for people with pets or small children. If you like to party and only need a room to sleep in, it's probably a good place for you, but in our case - we are not coming back.

This is an amazing hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights and it couldn't have been better. To begin with, the location is absolutely fantastic. You don't need a car because everything is literally in walking distance radius. If not, then the hotel offers free bikes that you can rent to bike around the area. We rented bikes and biked till South Pointe park through Ocean Drive. Plus the location feels very safe. We went for a walk at 10 pm and didn't feel unsafe at all. It is a very lively area. So if you're traveling as a couple/solo, you should be good. Parking - You can park right across the hotel in the parking garage which is $20/day. Hyatt offers valet service that is $44/day, but the hotel staff were so genuine that they offered us this cheaper option and told us you won't be needing your car anyways, so might as well park in the garage. Breakfast - Although the hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast, there are plenty other great bakery options in the area which are with 3-4 minutes walking distance. Staff - Really great staff, courteous, professional and offered very timely room service. Rooms - We didn't like the first room we were given, and asked for a different room, which the staff happily provided us. The room that we were bumped to was a Standard King bed room, which was amazing as it was decent size, had everything that we wanted and offered a great view from the 10th floor of the beach. My only complaint would be the TVs don't have airplay, so that update would be nice to have. Thank you for making our stay very special!
